Preparing 2026 U6 Soccer Season

The objective of practices will be for U6 players to create a connection with the ball, and experience a wide range of movements.

U6 Practices Plan

As teams are formed of 8 players semi-randomly chosen, the challenges running practice sessions often originates in the wide range of player skills and interest for the sport.

The most difficult for coaches is to keep a high intensity tempo - i.e. players running.

Each one hour practice will be split in 3 phases:

  1. 15min technical exercises with one ball per player
  2. 20min constraint exercise
  3. 20min 2v2 mini tournament

The remaining 5min are used to communicate administrative information (ex: photos, pick a team name).
